We have been serving the Ottawa Region since 1960

Do you sub contract the project out to others?

NO, only our crew completes the work.

    Do you use sub contractors?

Only when the work exceeds our capabilities I.E. when we require extra excavation equipment or material installations and under our supervision.

    Is Provost Construction insured?

YES. We are fully insured and covered by W.S.I.B.

Do you use your own equipment?

YES. We use only our own equipment for our specific work. Should we need equipment that is not used often, we bring it in.

    What is landscape constuction?

Landscape Construction, in our case, is the removal and/or installation of interlocking stone/asphalt/concrete/soils that changes the overall look and dimensions of the land on a residential or commercial property.

Does Victor (the owner) work on the job site?

YES  I work along side my crew to oversee that the work is completed properly and to the satisfaction of the owner.

How long do typical landscape construction jobs take to complete?

Typically, a small job like sidewalks or patios will take from 2-3 days and increasing from that to 1-2weeks when including driveways, steps, retaining walls and access to the sites.

Do you work in the rain?

We do not always work in the rain as it may compromise the stability of soil conditions during excavation and base installation. Also it is very difficult to maintain a clean jobsite during wet weather.

    Do you guarantee your work?

YES. We guarantee our work for a period of 2 years from date of completion.

Is your estimate price the guaranteed price?

YES. Once you receive a written estimate from us, the price is guaranteed for the balance of the current year, as long as there are no changes to the work bid on and we are not fully booked for the season.

How long is your estimate price guaranteed?

    See Above

Do you show up on time for a scheduled estimate?

YES. We strive to show up on time and if we can’t, we will call ahead to give you notice of our delay.

Do I need to be home when the work is being done?

NO, you do not need to be home when the work is being completed, but of course we welcome you to observe us working.

Do you start the job when scheduled?

YES, we always start a job when scheduled as long as the weather permits us to.

    What are your payment options?

Payment options can vary, but basically a deposit is requested when work commences and final payment is due when the work is completed.

Do I have to sign a contract?

YES. Signing a contract is very important as it confirms the type of work to be completed with payment details and acts as your written guarantee.

When do I have to pay for the job?

Final payment is due when the work is completed.

    Are you a volume contractor?

NO.  We are small hands on business. And therfore we are limited to the amount of work we can take on in a season.

Do you do residential or commercial snow removal?

YES. We offer residential condominium and commercial property snow removal/ maintenance.
